Previously known as Neurology Electron Microscopy Laboratory, the Emory School of Medicine Electron Microscopy Core (ESMEMC) in the Woodruff Memorial Research Building is now an official resource core under Emory School of Medicine. The facility provides campus-wide services and training in transmission electron microscopy. The facility produces high quality work and offers flexible accessibility to meet users’ needs, regardless of their funding level, project magnitude, and the amount of experience in microscopy. The facility operates on a “first come, first serve” basis, although projects with grant or publication deadlines could be prioritized. ESMEMC welcomes not only on-campus researchers, but also investigators from other universities and industrial institutes.
